2023 OMA Faircross Series Information & class list!

Get ready for some Faircross!!!!! Lake County Fair is the kickoff of the OMA Faircross Series Thursday, 7/27/2023!!!!
Registration starts at 4pm, Practice 6pm, Racing at 7pm!!!
Pricing: $30 PRO, Amateur $25 1st class / $20 2nd class / $15 3rd class!!!
(Same pricing for the past 11 years!!)
OMA Membership $25 (required)
Gate Fee determined by fair board
OMA Fair Series – Top 5 riders in each class get awards at banquet. You must do 3 of 5 races in the series to qualify!

July 27 – Lake County Fair
August 9 – Holmes County Fair
August 17 – Jefferson County Fair
Sept 21 – Ashland County Fair
Oct 5 – Coshocton County Fair

Congratulations to ALL of our OMA series winners!  Points have been finalized for ALL Series!

Brace’s Battle for Ohio State Championship Series – rider had to race 3 of 4 Battle races and only your 3 best POINTS PAYING races will count toward the series. (This was changed late July)

Saturday Night Series – rider had to race 5 of 8 of the Night Series races

Faircross Series – rider had to race 5 of 8 of the Faircross Series races

Overall Series – rider had to race 8 races minimum and only a rider’s 12 best POINTS PAYING races will count toward the series!

The 2023 10th Annual OMA Banquet will be held at the Quaker Station in Akron on January 14, 2023 to honor all of our award winners.  All award winners have been notified by the email on file with the OMA. Please see the BANQUET tab for more information!!!

OMA Banquet Deadline – December 16, 2021 – All RSVP’s must be in by Thursday December 16th!

Registration for the banquet and to RSVP for your awards is closed.  All banquet attendees should have received their “Banquet Pass”. Please make sure you have it to show at the door, either on your phone or print it out.  Our banquet is going to be AMAZING!

 

This is the last week that you can purchase banquet tickets and RSVP for your awards to be made!  Because of the holidays, we must have all numbers to our caterer, as well as for our award creators in order to be ready for the banquet on January 8, 2022!  All award winners were sent an email initially. Those award winners who would still like to RSVP, in order to have their awards created, please go to the BANQUET tab on our website, where you will find the Banquet RSVP Link (google form) that you need to fill out if you are attending the banquet.

If you are unable to attend the banquet, please download the RSVP form and send it by MAIL to the address noted on the form.  ALL RSVP regrets MUST be done by MAIL, not EMAIL or Social Media.

9th Annual OMA Awards Banquet
Saturday, January 8, 2022
4pm Doors Open / 5:30 Dinner / 6:30 Awards Presentation
$30 per person (Kids 4 years old and under FREE)
Buffet Dinner included with unlimited coffee, iced tea, water
(Cash Bar will be available)
 
** All award winners attending or not attending, that would like their awards created, MUST RSVP by December 16, 2021.
 
** If you are unable to attend, you must RSVP via mailing the RSVP, no emails/Facebook messages will be accepted.
 
** If we do not receive your RSVP by December 16, 2021, your awards will not be created.

Congratulations OMA Series Winners! Thank you for a great season!

Congratulations to all of our winners for the 2021 OMA Season!  All points/results are final.

For the OMA Overall Series, only the top 15 points paying finishes for each rider counts toward the series. All points have been recalculated and posted. There is no minimum amount of races required for the Overall Series.

To qualify for the Sarchione Ford of Waynesburg Saturday Night Series, riders had to race 4 of 8 races in the series.

To qualify for the Battle for Ohio Series, riders had to race 3 of 4 races in the series.

To qualify for the OMA Faircross Series, riders had to race 4 of 6 races in the series.

The top 5 riders in each of our series, with the above criteria, will qualify for awards at the 2021 OMA Awards Banquet to be held on January 8, 2022 at the Quaker Station Banquet Facility in Akron, Ohio.

Need a membership? Purchase online with PayPal, then pick it up at the fair race!
Registration 5pm – Practice 6pm – Racing 7pm

Must race 5 races to qualify for Series / Series Awards are Top 5 in each class

2020 OMA Awards Banquet Cancelled – Awards Pick Up planned for Jan 9, 2020 – RSVP by December 10, 2020!

Unfortunately because of these unprecedented times, the 2020 OMA Awards Banquet has been cancelled. Your safety and well-being is our number 1 priority, and we want you to be healthy and ready for racing in 2021!
Emails have been sent to all 2020 OMA Award Winners. RSVP for Award Pick Up will be done via a google form in the email sent. If you do not receive the email, (sent to the email we have on file from your OMA membership application)please reach out to me at mxtowergal@gmail.com and I will forward you the link for the form, so that you may RSVP.
2020 Award Pick Up Details:

Date: January 9, 2021 Time: 12 noon – 3pm ONLY

Location: Choose to pick up your award(s) at:
AES – Action Extreme Sports (241 16th St SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663) OR
Mid-Ohio PowerSports (494 Harcourt Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050)

Deadline: RSVP must be done by December 10, 2020 or we will NOT create awards.

** RSVP MUST be done through the Google form. Absolutely no emails, text, phone calls, or Facebook messages will be accepted as an RSVP. **

Here are some FAQs:
1. Can awards be sent to me or can I pick them up at a race?  NO, all awards must be picked up on January 9, 2021.
2. Can someone else pick up my awards? YES, but you must indicate on the google RSVP form, that person will need to have an ID.
3. Are the pick up locations inside?  Yes. The bike shop will be open! You may shop and/or just pick up your awards.
4. I forgot to RSVP, Can I still get my awards created?  NO. We have to have all RSVP’s by December 10, 2020. That is the day the orders will be placed.
5. I noticed all year that my name was spelled wrong with the OMA, can I get it changed for my awards?  YES. Send an email to mxtowergal@gmail.com immediately.
6. What if I have questions, or need to change the pick up person? Contact Connie at mxtowergal@gmail.com
** We realize that there will be some riders who do NOT wish to have their awards created. For those not wanting awards, it would be a big help to me if you would also fill out the RSVP. I will then know that I do not need to send you any type of follow email to make sure you don’t want your award(s). **

Congratulations OMA Award Winners! The 2020 OMA Motocross Season is complete!

Congratulations to all of our series winners!  The OMA Overall Series has now been completed, tallied, and recalculated for the 15 best points paying finishes!

We have “tentatively” set January 9, 2021 at Quaker Station at University of Akron for the 8th Annual OMA Banquet.

We are hoping to release more details by early November. Please be patient and save the date please!

Overall Series Points have been adjusted! Get ready for the final race of the season at Rt 62MX with double points Oct 31-Nov1!

Results from Amherst have been posted and the competition is heating up for the final race of the season at Route 62 MX!
POINTS have been ADJUSTED For OVERALL SERIES – Only your 15 highest point paying events are now showing for the Overall Series! (If you have more than 15 races, you will notice that your lowest points are now in red, those are the ones removed.
You can see that by going to the current points at www.omxa.net – Choose the Points tab – OMA Overall Series – your class – then change the dropdown from “finish position” to “points earned” ) After Route 62 this weekend, those points will be recalculated!
There is no minimum amount of races for Overall.
Don’t forget Route 62 is our final event for the year and it is a double points event.
